- The Original Kazic Metric System: earning a 10 on the KMS was doing a "Kazic" worth of damage while still hitting the soft factors like sunders, kicks, and disarms. He set the bar for doing top-tier damage while never slouching on what keeps the raid moving, and together we devised this system to recognize warriors that perform the full package.
- Damage Scaling by Raid and Composition: we scale the amount of raw damage each warrior is expected to contribute by taking the total damage done by the raid and dividing that by how many "warrior equivalents" are in the raid. The three main tanks count as 0.5× of a warrior for the warrior-equivalent math; other warriors including off-tanks count as 1.0×; other DPS classes count as 0.7×; healers count as zero. This can be adjusted in the Scoring Configuration panel above.
- Tank Autologic: the top three warriors by melee damage taken are labeled MT for main tanks; T4+ are off-tanks ranked by Taunt cast count (up to T7). This logic may fail and assignments can be adjusted in the Troubleshooting Tanks and TSA section above.
- The 10 point goal: raid damage ÷ warrior equivalents × 1.3, plus a baseline of 472,500 soft damage (40 sunders + 2 kicks + 1 each disarm/demo/chal + 2 dummies + 70k engineering). A 10 means top-tier damage AND meeting the baseline expectations — damage alone isn't enough.
- Sunders: only sunders cast while the target had < 5 stacks count. Each sunder is awarded 7000 damage. Why is this so high? It derives from the actual value of a first-GCD sunder on a Ghoul (or any mob with 100k health) in a melee-heavy raid. That's what it's actually worth! Late sunders are worth MUCH less, and so incentivizing 5 sunders QUICKLY on all mobs pays massive dividends in how fast the raid progresses. Don't rely on offtanks to carry sunders because then they are getting up too late! Per the detected raid (—): minimum 25 (below = zero credit, red), expectation 50 (below = orange but full credit), cap 100. Any warrior with 50+ casts of Demo Shout is assumed to have been assigned this task and is awarded extra sunder points if their sunder count is low.
- Soft Points: Demo Shout, Disarm, Kicks, Challenging Shout, and Dummies. Dummies are weighted (Masterwork Target Dummy = 1, Love Fool / Advanced Target Dummy = 0.5). Engineering+ damage earns 2× total credit and includes Dense Dynamite, Goblin Sapper Charges, Oil of Immolation, Holy Water, and Dragonbreath Chili. These point values and caps can be adjusted in the Scoring Configuration section.
- Pummel/Shield Bash: only counts interrupts that actually stopped a cast. Drain Life on Gothik trash (low-priority) is excluded just like it is in the RPB.
- TSA penalty: 150,000 damage subtracted, an estimate of TSA's value over a full raid. The TSA column shows ✓ for warriors classified as having received TSA. These assignments and penalty values can be adjusted in the Troubleshooting Tanks and TSA section above.
- Additional Items like BT + Execute: these are informational only — they don't contribute to PMS Score directly. They are included because they are great clues as to why top warriors do so well.
- DMF, Head Buff, and Deaths columns are informational only. DMF and Head Buff show ✓ if the warrior had the buff and kept it, blank if they never had it, "Xm" if they lost the buff at minute X (matched to a death event for exact timing), or "~Xm" if approximate.
- Gothik gate pulls (Naxx only): if any Plagued Ghoul takes damage during the Gothik encounter, the raid is doing gate pulls. Warriors who damage live-side mobs (Trainee/Deathknight/Rider) get a soft-damage bonus to compensate for the missed dead-side opportunities.
- Damage Filtering: the damage numbers on the PMS may not perfectly match damage on WCL. The main reason is that the PMS filters out all damage to Understudies with the "Hopeless" debuff which multiplies damage many times over and is ripe for cheese with a sapper. This doesn't count for boss parse but still strangely comes up in overall damage numbers. We exclude it from the PMS.
